I grew up in rural Worcestershire, in and around the Severn Valley. I graduated from the Royal (Dick) Vet School in Edinburgh in 1997. My first job in Cirencester in Gloucestershire was looking likely to be my only job until I decided to make the move to Northumberland. I worked in a traditional mixed practice doing a combination of small and farm animal work. The work was interesting and varied with the Cotswold hills ideal for beef and sheep enterprises as well as dairy farms. I moved to Northumberland in the winter of 2010, memorable for the vast falls of snow the followed my arrival! I worked in mainly farm animal practice based in Alnwick but covering much of the county. My particular interests include calf health and flock and herd health planning. I’ve retained a strong interest in dairy farming from my experience in Gloucestershire. I also enjoy small animal work, getting to know people and their pets!

“As we’ve worked together over the years it is clear we have common professional values and have very similar ideas about what constitutes a high standard veterinary service.”
“All in all – he is a top bloke!”
